Nothing makes children feel better about themselves than spending time with friends that truly care about them. Through the Morrie and Sybil Fenkell Volunteer Club, remarkable bonds are forged between the children with special needs and their new friends.
A volunteer’s commitment and willingness to give of their time reminds us that today’s men and women, both young and old, are caring, compassionate, and dedicated to making a difference in every child and adult they encounter.

Corporate Volunteer Opportunities
Friendship Circle welcomes your company to volunteer for our Lessons for Life Program. Lessons for Life gives elementary, middle, and high school students with special needs the opportunity to practice life skills at Friendship Circle. The program is held at Friendship Circle in a realistic village setting that includes a bank, cafe, library, theater, pet shop, and much more!
Volunteers bring the program to life by working as shop owners, librarians, baristas, doctors, dentists, bank tellers, police officers, and street vendors. Your volunteer group will help students practice and learn essential life skills, including money management, time management, communication, safety, and problem-solving. The typical volunteer schedule is 9:30 am - 12:00 pm.
While volunteering, your group will:
- Enjoy a fun, meaningful team-building experience
- Engage with and give back to the community
- Help local students learn critical life skills
