2024 Week 1

Friendship Circle provides an incredible overnight camp experience for children with special needs. Located at the beautiful Camp North Star Reach in Pinckney, MI, campers will enjoy the great outdoors while receiving a safe and unforgettable overnight camp experience filled with activities such as paddle boarding, field games, art, a talent show, and more!

**Please note:

Overnight Week 1 runs from Monday, July 29 in the afternoon through Friday, August 2 in the morning.

Overnight Week 2 runs from Monday, August 5 in the afternoon through Friday, August 9 in the morning.

Day Camp combines learning critical social skills with a fun and engaging camp experience. Friendship Circle is offering five weeks of summer activities on Friendship Circle’s Meer campus, including ​​splash pad fun, arts and crafts, games, and more. Campers will receive a memorable and active summer experience while developing friendships with teen volunteers and their peers.


*Please note this is for Day Camp Session 1 and 2. Session 1 and 2 are each two weeks long.*

Week 1: July 29-Aug 2 2024

Immerse yourself in a program filled with exhilarating outdoor activities, immersive sensory experiences, and thrilling adventures. Our camp is designed to offer not only recreation and camaraderie but also opportunities for personal growth, skill development, and fostering independence. Come join us this summer for a blend of fun, friendship, and enriching experiences that will create lasting memories!


Participants can register for one or two weeks of the Adult Day Camp. Spots are limited. Campers should bring a packed lunch each day. Please note there will NOT be a refrigerator or microwave. 


50% of the camp fee will be due by May 10th to hold your spot. The remaining balance will be due on July 5th. Please reach out to [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns about payment and for scholarship opportunities.  


Friendship Circle staff cannot provide bathroom support, behavioral intervention, or 1:1 supervision or support. The ratio for the Adult Social Programs is 1 staff to 5 participants. If a participant typically requires 1:1 support, we will ask that the family provide the 1:1 support person. Friendship Circle does not currently have 1:1 volunteers for this age group. We are actively working to expand our adult volunteer pool. If you have questions about the level of support that you or your participant needs and what our staff and volunteers can provide, please contact [email protected].


Week 2: Aug 5-Aug 9 2024

In addition to helping those in need, the Friendship Circle enriches its vast network of volunteers by enabling them to reap the rewards of selfless giving.
